About the course:
Felicity Joy Keebaugh is visiting the states from Chiang Mai, Thailand with 30 years of experience as a Thai Massage Practitioner and teacher.
This course is the first of a series of 4, with focus on the digestive system. The soft abdomen is an area that frequently has problems due to the food and drink we consume, the toxicity we breathe in and the thoughts we have. In this first course we learn how to diagnose and detoxify the skin and fascia, release adhesions and scars, treat muscles, and clean and stimulate the organs of digestion. We work with improving the energy flow to the whole body by recognizing blocks and releasing them.
You will learn the most common disorders of the digestive system, how they came to be and what we can do nutritionally to ensure that chronic problems do not take hold. We look at nutritional, mineral and vitamin therapies to facilitate the bodies natural desire to return to good health. We look at simple exercises and other life changes to keep the digestive system and the organs supporting the digestive process working effectively. We observe the personality and treat the organs that are compromised due to unreleased emotion.
This course does not require that you have studied Thai massage, but you need to have great sensitivity in your hands, deep compassion and understanding of the human condition and another form of therapy. This is a course better suited to the mature student who has the life experience to be able to hold space as many deep emotional releases will occur.
